Honest by design - not by reminder.
An assistant on your storefront is trusted with your brand's voice and a shopper's decision to buy. Liza is built so honesty isn't a setting you switch on - it's how she's wired.
What Liza will and won't say.
These aren't aspirations. They're rules built into how every Liza tool returns a result and how the assistant is allowed to speak.
- Liza speaks tool results as written - she doesn't paraphrase a result into something rosier.
- Empty input means empty output. If there's no data, Liza says so; she doesn't invent a value to fill the gap.
- When a request is blocked by a policy you set, Liza says so out loud rather than going quiet.
- Scarcity phrasing - “only 2 left” - is only ever used when the inventory signal genuinely allows it.
- Liza never claims something was added to the cart unless the cart tool actually confirmed it.
Nothing happens to a cart without consent.
Liza can browse and recommend freely. But anything that changes a shopper's cart or starts a checkout is gated behind explicit, signed consent.
Explicit confirmation
Cart actions - add, remove, bundle add, checkout, discount - only fire after the shopper has clearly, repeatedly said yes.
Signed and scoped
Each consent token is cryptographically signed and bound to that shopper's session and that specific action.
Short-lived
Tokens expire in seconds and can't be replayed - consent for one action is never reused for another.
Liza works inside the boundaries you draw.
Every category below ships with sensible defaults - several of them off until you opt in - and is configurable per store.
Discounts
Off by default. When on: per-offer percentage and amount caps, a daily budget, and per-customer limits.
Bundles & upsells
Item counts, savings ranges, per-session offer limits, a maximum price jump, and a cooldown after a shopper says no.
Post-purchase
Off by default. When on: a minimum order value, eligible collections, and a discount cap - all yours.
Behavior & memory
Anonymous-session tracking, the profile retention window, history sharing, and a behavior gate that can switch shopper history off entirely.
Voice
Off by default. When on: a chosen voice, a language setting, and a per-day minute cap you control.
Conversation
A cap on offers per session and a strict honesty mode that forces blocked policies to be spoken aloud.
Shopper data, handled with restraint.
Liza is a tool on your storefront - not a data grab. Conversation history and intelligence stay with your store.
- Conversations are kept on a rolling window, then aged out - they aren't held forever.
- Shopper profiles have a retention window that defaults to 90 days, and is yours to shorten.
- PII redaction is on by default - names and emails are kept out of the assistant's context.
- The merchant dashboard shows anonymized shopper IDs, not personal identities.
- Voice audio goes to the provider for real-time transcription and isn't stored.
- Try-on photos are scoped to the shopper's own session and used only for their try-on.
